ABOUT OYAK CONCRETE 

In order to further increase organizational efficiency given the rapid developments and increased demand in the industry, the production and sale of ready-mixed concrete offered as a secondary service under the roof of OYAK Cement’s factories was merged under the same structure with a separate corporate identity in 2004 to establish OYAK Beton Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.

OYAK Concrete’s main activity is the production and sale of ready-mixed concrete. The company also aims to produce aggregate, the most highly used concrete production cost item, which surpassed cement during the European Union harmonization process, and which affects both the quality and the cost of concrete.

The OYAK Concrete Marmara, Central Anatolia, Mediterranean, Aegean and Black Sea region plants established since 2004 continue to conduct business. Moreover, the company has two aggregate quarries operating in Istanbul and Ankara.

OYAK Concrete is among the ready-mixed concrete companies with the most extensive distribution network and the highest production capacity (9.5 million m³/year) in the world, and has become one of the important brands in its field with a concrete production of over 50 million m³ as of this day.

As an environmentally-conscious company that continually improves itself and keeps pace with contemporary conditions, OYAK Concrete is the main solution partner for many vital projects, offering innovative alternatives and standing proudly as an expert in its field.

OYAK Concrete has broken considerable ground in Turkey with the accomplishments gained in the projects it supports.

Concrete roads. Concrete produced for the Marmaray Project with a lifetime of 100 years. C 80-class SKYBET produced and poured for the first time in Turkey for the Spine Tower Project.

The construction of Kahramanmaraş Town Hall, whose structure was poured with white concrete, including the load-bearing columns. The construction of ITU Ayazağa Campus National Center for High-Performance’s computing building, whose entire structure was poured with colored concrete. Inner dome shotcrete with a thickness of 52 cm produced for the Presidential Symphony Orchestra building.

The first use of finisher in Turkey.

The first distributor boom, 50 m in length, in Yenikapı plant, built for the procurement of concrete to the Marmaray Project.

2004  

Ready-mixed concrete production and sales provided as a secondary service under the roof of OYAK Cement Group factories for almost a quarter century is reorganized under the same roof with a different corporate company identity in order to upgrade professionalism and further increase the organizational efficiency triggered by the rapid developments and increased demand in the industry. On March 30, 2004, OYAK Beton Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. is established with the cash capital contribution of OYAK and in-kind capital contribution of Adana Cement, Bolu Cement, and Ünye Cement  

2008  

OYAK purchases the French company Lafarge Aslan Çimento’s factory and ready-mixed concrete plants in 2008, and expands its area of activity with the incorporation of Marmara ready-mixed concrete plants into OYAK Concrete.  

2010  

During December 2010, shares of OYAK, the main shareholder of OYAK Concrete are purchased by Adana, Bolu, Ünye, and Aslan Cement, which are among OYAK Group’s cement companies.
