AQUABET

Aquabet is a special concrete with increased water impermeability, designed to be used in wet and humid areas.

The permeability of concrete is a function of the microcracks at the interface between the voids in the concrete and the cement paste-aggregate. It is important in terms of durability that the concrete is void and impermeable. Durability and permeability in concrete are two closely related events. fluid permeability of concrete; pressurized water takes place by capillary water absorption and steam.

If the necessary measures are not taken in terms of impermeability, these three permeability values in concrete reach high values in the same direction and negatively, and this leads to problems in terms of durability. It is extremely important that the concretes to be used in areas exposed to water or moisture are suitable for environmental conditions. Although insulation materials are used in such areas, the risk of exposure to moisture and corrosion is high. The effect of corrosion on structures is destructive. Impermeable concrete protects iron and steel reinforcement against corrosion and external effects.

Concrete Components

In Aquabet production, raw materials that are proven, selected and stocked according to National and International standards are used. The process from raw material production to concrete casting on site is kept under 100% control.

Cement:

CEM I, CEM II and CEM III type cements can be used.

Aggregate:

It is obtained from selected sources in accordance with TS 706 EN 12620 standard.

Chemical Additive:

Specially developed new generation chemical additives are used, which are fully compatible with the cement and aggregates used.

Usage areas

On Roof and Terrace Floors

In Pools and Water Tanks

In Drainage and Water Channels

On curtain walls in contact with the soil

Foundations with Wet or Damp Ground

Considerations

Concrete should be properly placed in place.

No cold joints should be formed during casting.

Appropriate protection measures should be taken according to the weather conditions after casting.

Concrete should be properly protected against effects such as extreme cold, extreme heat and wind, and every precaution should be taken against the risk of cracking.

Concrete curing and maintenance conditions must be fulfilled.

Human Resources

OYAK Cement’s human resources management mentality consists of the adoption of approaches and applications that support strategical targets and performance, while responding to the special needs of the different industries with which it conducts its activities in an appropriate and efficient manner.
